Manish Jain, Director-IBA, with his first hand experience - was a nominee for ‘Jewel of India 2002 Award’ and a recepient of “Rastriya Shiksha Saman Puraskar” by Indian Economic Development & Research Association (IEDRA) for his contributions to quality higher education. He is the driving force behind IBA, under the benign guidance of an illustrious Academic Advisory Council and a distingushed Faculty.

In late nineties, when Bengaluru was emerging as the ‘knowledge city’ and the ‘intellectual capital’ of India, IBA was conceptualized in the city of Bengaluru to capitalise the emerging opportunities for the aspiring youth of the country.
The IBA’s founding mission was to bring excellence in Teaching, Training, Corporate Networking and in Placements. We decided to address these issues by creating a world-class infrastructure in a 12-acre lush-green land. The curriculum at IBA is rigorous and constantly upgraded based on corporates’ requirement and is in tune with the latest case studies and real time experiences. A strong and active corporate networking helps us to feed the inputs from the industry into academics. Apart from curriculum, the best available faculty teaches IBAians to improve their leadership, communication and soft skills.
At IBA, the talent of the students is sharpened through various Clubs like the HR, I3, Operations, Marketing, Finance and Retail Club. These clubs actively organize learning events, seminars guest lectures to keep the club members abreast with latest trends in corporate and academia. IBA (which is more popular as ‘Indiapura’ because of students from all the communities, backgrounds and almost 21 states) has an active Cultural club which celebrates prominent festivals like Navratri, Christmas, Ramjan, Onam, Paryushan Parva, Durga Pooja, Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali to name a few.
The end results of these strategies are visible, to the envy of many branded B-Schools of the country. IBA is maintaining 100% Placements since its inception. The 6th and 7th Batch students have won awards in Research Paper Presentations. IBAians are winning a major chunk of awards and trophies in B-School Competitions in Bengaluru, NCR and elsewhere. The IBA Vision, its Culture, the Teaching and the Training have become a role model for new generation B-Schools in the country.
IBA is today shining among the Top 30 B-Schools in the country. The vision is to get into the top 20 B-Schools in the next 3 years, and then the journey to be among the Top-10 Indian B-Schools. For achieving this, we have been making sustained efforts to induct talented faculty and facilitate them to bring major breakthroughs in knowledge creation. The results are evident in their scholarly publications of articles, papers and books, presentations in National and International Conferences. This has strengthened our efforts in knowledge creation and distribution and thus make IBA a ‘Centre
of Excellence for Learning’.
Since inception, we have aimed to build managers and leaders who are hardworking, who believe in dignity of labour, who are team players and pragmatic, having their foot firmly on ground. Today after 7 years, IBA in Bengaluru marches on a path of glory. With its 2.50 lakh sq.ft. built-up infrastructure that is exclusively dedicated to Management learning, it is one of the largest B-Schools in Bengaluru - the ‘IT & Knowledge City’ and the ‘Intellectual Capital of India’.
